Hector Silveira

Cuban singer, multi instrumentalist, composer, & Bandleader Hector Silveira was born in Camaguey Cuba and grow up in Havana where he attended to the University of the Arts ISA and study Classical Guitar.

He has appeared with his Orchestra and venues across the globe.

A very original artist that fuse on his own style the genres of his native country with Jazz, Funk, Brazilian and classical music influences.

In 1999 he come to America when he was awarded the international composer award for two of his own compositions from the Virginia, Center for The Creative Arts and following that he settled in in Chicago

He has perform in South America at Teatro el Círculo in Rosario Argentina; in Fort de France Martinique at Grand Carbet ; headline Epicure Festival in Windsor Canada; Manchester Craftsman Guild Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; El Camino College, Auditorium in Los Angeles LA; Latin Taste, and Rhythms festival in St Joseph Michigan;

Chicago Jazz Festival and several others festivals and events.

He has conducted master classes in several colleges around US.

As a singer he possess a beautiful tenor tone that flows elegance and is remarkably polished, trained and always on point singing from the heart. Silveira’s ability as an instrumentalists come from years of studying, knowledge and experience that put him in full control of his art through the Bass, guitar or percussion instruments.

As an arranger Hector Silveira creativity is a product of a strong knowledge of orchestration pair with his imaginative mind and big bold musical personality.

He is incredibly versatile,equally comfortable performing Afro-Cuban, Salsa, Jazz or Classical music.

Always accompanied on his bands by the high caliber musicians that step to the level of energy and musicianship.

Hector Silveira a gifted musician with a distinctive sound and a commitment to make just great music that break down barriers and get to global audiences.
